GRAPHICS & ILLUSTRATIONS FOR SONDRIO DOMANI
I created the graphics, selecting the color palette for the logo, and designing content for social media posts and cultural events. Additionally, I worked on the design of posters and both physical and digital graphic materials for the events. My goal was to ensure a cohesive and visually engaging experience across all platforms and promotional materials.
From 2022 to 2024, I was responsible for the graphic design of the Sondrio Domani association, an organization focused on promoting the Sondrio region in northern Italy. The association is dedicated to fostering cultural, social, and economic development in the area by promoting its heritage, nature, and local initiatives. Through their various projects, they aim to raise awareness of the region’s unique features and encourage sustainable tourism. My role involved creating visual materials that captured the essence of the region while supporting the association’s mission to showcase Sondrio’s potential and beauty.
This illustration was created with the intent of visually representing the core identity of the event,
which focused on discussion tables about key topics such as work and education,
culture and sports, youth, sustainability, and innovation. The primary objective of the event
was to develop new ideas for the association for the city of Sondrio.
The illustration portrays people of all genders and ages coming together, symbolizing unity and shared vision as they embark on a journey towards 2040. The choice of a bike as the mode of transport ties into Sondrio’s regional context, emphasizing sustainability and the connection to the territory. Each figure in the illustration represents the collaborative spirit of the event, where individuals from diverse backgrounds work together towards a common goal. This reflects the association’s mission to promote development, innovation, and a sustainable future for the region.
In 2023, the illustration was designed to represent the theme “Il futuro da scegliere“, emphasizing the power of ideas and collective vision in shaping the future of Sondrio. The imagery focused on people embarking on a shared journey, symbolizing discussion and exploration. In 2024, the event evolved with a new title, “Dalle parole ai fatti“, shifting the focus from ideas to concrete actions for the city. The key theme became the balance between work and life, reflecting the association’s commitment to fostering the best conditions for a high-quality lifestyle in Sondrio. The new illustration visually captures this equilibrium by depicting the city’s most iconic buildings alongside the surrounding nature, reinforcing Sondrio’s unique blend of urban opportunities and natural well-being.
In a post-COVID society where work-life balance has become a priority, this image aims to immediately communicate how Sondrio offers an ideal environment to achieve this much-desired harmony.
